Mamangam, the magnum opus starring Mammootty recently released its first look. Its a historical drama based in the Malayalam language.
As per the look we get to see Mammootty as a warrior holding a shield and a sword along with his troops. The look makes it nostalgic taking back to 17 century where warriors used these kinds of weapons to take defense against the external forces.
As per traditions, Mamangam is a traditional festival in which the warriors challenge the Zamorin rulers (Kings) to overthrow them. The Zamorin, as in the caste system lies just below the Brahmins and are meant to protect their state.
As per the festival, the Kings of different parts of the country would gather at Bharathapuzha river to fight against each other n order to prove their superiority.
The movie will cast Mammootty, Prachi Tehlan, Unni Mukundan, Prachi Desai, Malavika Menon. The movie is directed by M. Padmakumar and produced by Venu Kunnappilly under Kavya Films.
