This week's new release, BOL BACHCHAN, features an interesting cast, comprising Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan and Asin.
Ajay Devgn:-
Son of veteran action director Viru Devgn, Ajay made a thumping start to his career with PHOOL AUR KAANTE (1991). He followed it up with more successful ventures like SUHAAG (1994), ISHQ (1997) QAYAMAT (2003) and in 2004 KHAKEE (mostly multi-starrers) etc., and though he got National Awards for his acting in films like ZAKHM (1998) and THE LEGEND OF BHAGAT SINGH (2002), his career nosedived and it was not until the GOLMAAL series that Ajay got back into the top slot. His teaming up with director Rohit Shetty turned out to be the best career move for him. His last big hit was once again the Rohit Shetty directed SINGHAM and thereafter he has had quite a few failures like AAKROSH, RASCALS and the recent TEZZ. But once again BOL BACHCHAN is likely to set things right for him. So lets us check out Ajay Devgn's recent career records.
Abhishek Bachchan:-
The other star of BOL BACHCHAN, Aby's baby, Abhishek Bachchan, garnered a lot of praise for his debut film, REFUGEE (2000). However, it was only with DHOOM (2004) that Jr. B tasted his first commercial success. His best phase was in 2005, with not one but three hits, BUNTY AUR BABLI, SARKAR and DUS and he followed it up with BLUFFMASTER. Right now Abhishek is going through another lean phase, and his last hit was PAA (2009), but BOL BACHCHAN is expected to change all that. Here's how Abhishek has fared recently.
Asin:-
The most phenomenal star of BOL BACHCHAN is the South (and now even Hindi) star Asin, who made a stunning debut with GHAJINI (2008), the first 100 crore plus netter of Bollywood. Asin followed it up with two other 100 crore plus ventures, READY (2011) and HOUSEFULL 2 (2012). In fact BOL BACHCHAN may well take her to the top of the ladder. So let us have a glance of Asin's super successful Hindi cinema career.
Rohit Shetty:-
Last but not the least, the director with the Midas touch, Rohit Shetty, who made good if not successful debut with ZAMEEN (2003). But it was only after teaming up with Ajay Devgn in GOLMAAL (2006) that Rohit struck a golden patch. It is expected that success story will continue with BOL BACHCHAN, and for now let us check out Rohit Shetty's recent record.
