It is clear from the promos of Vivek Oberoi and Mallika Sherawat starrer KISMET LOVE PAISA DILLI that the film is a romantic comic thriller with a quirky base to it. However one tends to wonder that how does the title indeed fit into the scheme of things, other than being a detailed form of much used (and abused) slang up North – KLPD.
”Well, what I love about the film is that it transitions through the whole title. The meaning of all four is well integrated into the narrative due to which you get the symbolism of ‘kismat’, ‘love’, ‘paisa’ and ‘dilli’ in a person’s life. This is the reason why my character says that ‘logon ke toh din aate hain par meri raat aayi thi’ since so many things unfold in that one single night. In that time duration itself he understands the true meaning of all these four things which justifies the journey of an average Joe in Delhi’s madness, passion and sincerity,” Vivek details.

What further helped his cause was the fact that while he is a Punjabi, the film’s director Sanjay Khanduri came with his own experience of spending a large number of years in the city of Delhi.
”Moreover, just like Sanjay’s debut film EK CHALIS KI LAST LOCAL , which I know was pretty critically acclaimed film and was again set in one night, there are distinctive elements like unique characters, situations and locations filling in the frames for KLPD as well,” Vivek adds.
We would like to see that for ourselves when KISMET LOVE PAISA DILLI, an Amit Chandrra production, releases all over on 5th October.
