MR. JOE B. CARVALHO could well be a film that would result in a complete image transition for Soha Ali Khan. Forever being seen as this Ms. Touch-Me-Not who is generally intense in her act before the camera, she could well be turning the heat on in this Arshad Warsi starrer.

While it is a known fact that she has stepped into a two piece bikini for the first time ever in her career, one was left thinking whether her beau Kunal Khemu was mighty excited about her decision and inspired her to indeed go for it.
Laughs Soha, “I don’t think he said ‘go for it’. I am not even sure whether he was hugely excited about me stepping into a bikini for screen. However I know for sure that he was very supportive of my decision. See, it really helps when your partner belongs to the same profession. Before saying that he is not comfortable with what you are doing, he realizes that tomorrow he may have to step into a particular zone for a film of his. So it’s all okay eventually. Kunal understands that.”
While her co-star Arshad Warsi trusted in Soha to deliver goods and she too went all out in getting it right for the camera sans any inhibitions, Soha knew where to draw the line.
“After all, I am accountable to Kunal and my family. There is the lineage factor too. Moreover, Kunal realizes that inherently I am very shy, hence I won’t do anything that is hugely scandalous,” she smiles.
Adds first time director Samir Tewari, “We both were on the same page that the scene won’t be put in the place for the purpose of titillating audience. Aisa nahi ki kuch bhi camera angle laga diya. It has been all classily shot and Soha is very happy with the results. She didn’t put any restrictions on herself and was game for the bikini shoot.”
Now that the film is less than four weeks away from release, the results would be out for all to see. Knowing Soha, it can well be said that what plays on screen would be classily portrayed for sure.
