Salman Khan’s passion for writing is another hidden aspect of his personality. Since the age of five he has the passion of reading. His father, a famous script writer, Salim Khan (Salim-Javed fame) is a learned man. Probably, Salman has acquired this quality from his father.

You may be aware that Salman’s most ambitious film VEER was co-scripted by Salman and his father Salim Khan. However this is not Salman’s first film as a writer. In fact his second film BAAGHI: A Rebel for Love (1990), soon after MAINE PYAR KIYA, was credited as written by Salman Khan. But as the movie failed Salman quit writing.

However, the bug of writing resurfaced and in 1993 he wrote for his yet another film CHANDRAMUKHI, starring Sridevi but once again the movie bombed at the box-office. Despite failing twice as writer, he attempted writing with VEER and once again the movie failed.

Thus, as a writer he has been a complete letdown!
