Ajith Kumar‘s much awaited 64th film has finally received its official title. Director Adhik Ravichandran announced on Monday that the project, which was earlier referred to as AK64, will now be called Daredevil. The announcement has created huge excitement among fans, especially as the film marks Ajith’s return to the big screen after taking a break to focus on his passion for professional racing.
Sharing the title announcement on X, Adhik Ravichandran posted an emotional message celebrating Ajith’s remarkable journey in cinema. He praised the actor for completing 34 years in the film industry while inspiring millions with his dedication and hard work. The director also thanked Ajith for once again placing his trust in him after their successful collaboration on Good Bad Ugly. He also expressed gratitude to Ajith’s wife, former actress Shalini, who is making her debut as a producer with Bravehearts Production, the new banner backing the film.

Adhik had earlier spoken about the responsibility of directing another Ajith film. During the pre production stage last year, he shared that Daredevil was a very special project for him because Ajith had trusted him once again after Good Bad Ugly. He added that he wanted to live up to that confidence by delivering a memorable film.
The makers have also confirmed that popular music composer Anirudh Ravichander will compose the soundtrack. This marks his fourth collaboration with Ajith after Vedalam, Vivegam, and Vidaamuyarchi. Anirudh also shared his excitement on social media, saying he was happy to work again with Ajith and director Adhik Ravichandran while thanking Shalini, Suresh Chandraa, and Bravehearts Production for the opportunity.

The technical team behind Daredevil includes editor Vijay Velukutty, cinematographer Abinandhan Ramanujam, stunt choreographer Supreme Sundar, and sound designer Suren. While the makers have not revealed the film’s story or the rest of the cast, Adhik recently confirmed that the screenplay has been completed and all pre production work has been wrapped up.
Along with the film announcement, another exciting project featuring Ajith was also unveiled. A documentary titled Gladiators In Pursuit of Challenges will showcase the actor’s inspiring journey in the world of motorsport. The documentary will be directed by Vijay, who previously worked with Ajith in Kireedam and has also directed films such as Mission Chapter 1 and Kadhal Reset Repeat. With both Daredevil and the racing documentary on the way, Ajith Kumar fans have plenty to look forward to in the coming months.
