Recently debutant director Samir Tewari revealed in an interview that the title of his upcoming film, MR. JOE B. CARVALHO is the brainchild of his lead actor, Arshad Warsi.
Ask Arshad how he came up with this whacky title and he reveals, ”Goa is the place where I heard this name for the first time. I was staying at a reputed 5-star where there was a guy named Carvalho and everybody was instructing him ‘Carvalho yeh karo… Carvalho wo karo’. So while joking at the staff I just told the attendant I hope his name is not Joe Bhi Carvalho or Kuch Bhi Carvalho and he replied, ‘Sir his name is Joe’. So I called up my office and said register this title Joe B. Carvalho.”

So has he come across any other such names? ”Yes… there are many such funny names and people that I have come across. You will not believe there is a girl named Abhimata and her surname is Kala so when you read it together her name sounds, Abhimata Kala,” laughs Arshad.

Well, with Arshad coming up with the film MR. JOE B. CARVALHO based on his experience in Goa, one should not be surprised if the actor’s next film is titled Abhimata Kala!
