Shekhar Sirrinn’s CHICKEN CURRY LAW, a social court room thriller drama, unveils ‘Ya Khudya Maaf Kar’, and it is a heart wrenching cry to the almighty pleading for justice, sung in Kailash Kher’s emotive vocals. It sees Ashutosh Rana desperately trying to save the life of a wounded woman, as he takes her to the hospital where she is operated upon but dies and there follows an intense cremation scene, where Natalia Janoszek (essaying the role of a sexually assaulted foreign belly dancer), and members from Mahila Morcha mourn the death, as the pier is lighted. Rana is superb and melts hearts with his histrionics.
