Janhvi Kapoor hospitalised with food poisoning

Janhvi Kapoor has been hospitalized in Mumbai due to a severe case of food poisoning. Her father, Boney Kapoor, confirmed the news on Thursday and mentioned that she is currently feeling better and is expected to be discharged in the next couple of days. Neither Janhvi nor her team has issued any official statement about her hospitalisation yet.

On the professional front, Janhvi Kapoor will soon appear in the movie “Ulajh,” the trailer for which was released on Wednesday. In this film, Janhvi plays the role of Suhana, a young diplomat caught in a dangerous personal conspiracy during a critical assignment at the London embassy. The plot explores her navigating the complexities of her job, her legacy, and the deceptive environment where allies might turn into adversaries.

Janhvi expressed her excitement about this challenging role, stating, “This film is particularly special to me as I portray a very challenging role of a diplomat for the first time. It has been a humbling and fascinating experience. Working with Sudhanshu Saria has been incredibly enriching; he made me push my own boundaries. Suhana’s character is strong and multi-dimensional, and I found a personal connection to some shades of the character that enabled me to deliver an authentic performance.”

“Ulajh,” directed by National Award Winner Sudhanshu Saria, also stars Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathew and is set to hit theatres on August 2, 2024.

Additionally, Janhvi Kapoor is set to reunite with Ishaan Khatter for Karan Johar’s next movie. The duo, who debuted together in “Dhadak,” will reportedly star in Neeraj Ghaywan’s upcoming film, which is scheduled to start filming in October 2024. The movie will also feature actor Vishal Jethwa in a significant role.
