Actress Lily Collins and filmmaker Charlie McDowell welcome the newest exciting chapter of life to their story, becoming new parents! Emily in Paris’s actress, who has reached age 35 and director, at age 41, just introduced a new born girl to her and him Tove Jane McDowell.
The couple posted the beautiful news on Instagram. They shared a picture of the baby cuddled up in a bassinet covered with a monogrammed blanket. “Welcome to the center of our world, Tove Jane McDowell,” they wrote in a joint post. “We also shared tears, laughter, and overwhelming gratitude toward our surrogate, who carried this precious gift for us and made this journey possible.”.
According to TMZ, Collins and McDowell welcomed their daughter via surrogate earlier this week in Northern California. Celebrities and friends showered them with love, including Modern Family star Sarah Hyland, who commented, “I’m sobbinggggg,” and Amanda Seyfried, who added, “This is perfect. So so happy for you four,” seemingly including the couple’s beloved dog, Redford.
Collins and McDowell met on the set of Gilded Rage in 2019. It was an instant connection, and on the Live with Kelly and Mark show, Collins disclosed that she had always known that she wanted to marry him. They went public in August 2019. McDowell proposed a year later in September 2020. The son of Hollywood legends Mary Steenburgen and Malcolm McDowell designed the rose-cut diamond ring for his proposal.
They exchanged vows in a romantic Colorado wedding in September 2021, and since then, they’ve been sharing love and adventures leading up to the joyful arrival of their daughter.
