Responding to the hotly anticipated reunion in an interview at the IIFA Digital Awards, Shahid was laid back and nonchalant. “For us, it’s nothing new… today stage pe mile aur hum log idhar udhar milte rehte hai (today we met on stage, but we keep running into each other here and there). It’s totally normal for us… if people felt nice, it’s nice,” he replied.
From Reel-Life Lovers to Real-Life Journeys
Shahid and Kareena’s on-screen chemistry in movies such as Fida, Chup Chup Ke, and Jab We Met made them one of the most popular real-and-reel-life couples of Bollywood during the 2000s. Their love story, though, came to an end before the completion of Jab We Met, and they parted ways.
The two have since moved on and have constructed successful lives. Kareena is married to Saif Ali Khan, and the couple has two children now. Shahid has also found his happiness in Mira Rajput, and they have a daughter and a son together.
