Ranbir Kapoor has recently confirmed in a media interaction in Mumbai that Brahmastra Part Two: Dev is officially happening, with Ayan Mukerji, who directed the first part, busy with War 2 at the moment. After that film, he will start pre-production on Brahmastra 2. ”
Ayan has been developing the whole story of Brahmastra for quite some time,” said Ranbir, assuring fans that there is nothing to worry about with the sequel going according to plan. Some future announcements for the project are also hinted at by him.

The first part, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, was released on September 9, 2022, earning nearly Rs 400 crore at the worldwide box office. The film directed by Ayan Mukerji had an ensemble cast with Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy sharing screen space, along with Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo role.
With the sequel on the way, Ayan Mukerji confirmed that Brahmastra Part Two: Dev will come in December 2026 and Brahmastra Part 3 in 2027. The director emphasized that the sequels will be “bigger” and more ambitious than the original. Besides Brahmastra 2, Ranbir has been very busy with other projects that hold great promise.
He will play Lord Ram himself in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, expected to drop by 2026. The actor is also into its sequel, Animal Park, which is due to sail into theaters in the next few years, therefore bolstering up a buzz around him and Ayan.
