ZEE5 has dropped the intense trailer of its upcoming crime thriller Costao, featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a fierce new avatar. The film transports viewers to the gritty, crime-infested world of 1990s Goa, where Siddiqui plays Costao Fernandes a fearless and unconventional customs officer who dares to challenge a sprawling smuggling empire entrenched in corruption and fear.
Directed by debutant Sejal Shah, Costao also stars Priya Bapat, Kishore Kumar G, Gagan Dev Riar, and Hussain Dalal. The film is set to premiere on ZEE5 on May 1.
Rebel Against a Corrupt System
The trailer reveals a world ruled by criminals, where law enforcement is compromised, and justice is a rare commodity. Costao, known for his audacious tactics and unrelenting pursuit of justice, emerges as a rare figure of resistance. His defiance puts him at odds not only with the underworld but also with the very system he serves. When a deadly encounter with the brother of a notorious smuggler sets off a chain of vengeance, Costao becomes the target of a relentless manhunt.
