Rejected from Doctor to Accepted in Bollywood Royal Family: Her Story

This talented actress began her journey with dreams of becoming a doctor, but her path took a different turn when she landed her first commercial in 9th grade, catapulting her into the entertainment industry. Notably, she was Karan Johar’s first choice for the iconic role of Anjali in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. With a string of successful films under her belt, she solidified her position as a leading lady. Now, she’s part of a Bollywood dynasty, married to the son of a legendary superstar. Can you guess who this accomplished actress is?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is one of the most famous actresses in Bollywood. She never actually thought to become an actress. Aishwarya was born into a Telugu-speaking family in Mangalore. She was a serious student and wanted to become a doctor and later an architect. Aishwarya never imagined to enter the movie business or, as is more the case, generate a legendary stature in the film industry.

Early Career and Breakthrough:
Aishwarya entered the professional world quite by chance when she starred in her first commercial at the age of 15, in the 9th grade. The commercial was for a popular fast-food chain called “Pizza Hut.” Upon seeing Rai’s beauty, elegance, and overall appeal in this commercial, she immediately became a household name and was featured in numerous commercials. After the extensive campaign of commercials and modeling work, Aishwarya entered the Miss India pageant, however she took second place. Aishwarya later went to the Miss World pageant in 1994 and won the title. This event catapulted her to international fame and numerous television and modeling operations.
