HIT 3 Hits Hard! Rs 18 Crore Opening Day Collection Amid Fierce Competition

Sailesh Kolanu’s third installment in the HIT franchise, titled HIT: The Third Case, hit theatres on May 1, starring popular South actor Nani in the lead. The action thriller received an overwhelmingly positive response from both audiences and critics, holding its own despite clashing with other major releases like Suriya’s Retro and Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2.

Impressive Day-One Collection

According to trade portal Sacnilk, HIT 3 collected an impressive ₹18 crore net across India on its opening day. The regional breakdown shows ₹17.25 crore coming from Telugu markets, ₹35 lakh from Tamil, ₹25 lakh from Hindi, ₹5 lakh from Kannada, and ₹1 lakh from Malayalam. This marks Nani’s second-highest opening day after Dasara, which had raked in ₹23.72 crore on its first day in 2023.

Nani Expresses Gratitude

Celebrating the film’s success, Nani took to Instagram to thank fans for their support. Sharing a poster of the film, he wrote, “This MAY it’s MAYHEM at BOXOFFICE. I love you all. Today it’s Arjun Sarkaar’s turn. This truly is memorable. Onward and upward. #HIT3.”

Thrilling Plot and Stellar Cast

HIT 3 follows SP Arjun Sarkaar (played by Nani), who investigates a series of murders committed using a consistent, chilling method across different locations. The case grows more sinister, suggesting something far deeper than a regular serial killer. Srinidhi Shetty stars as Mrudula, and Prateik Smita Patil plays a mysterious character named Alpha.

Franchise Legacy Continues

The film also continues the successful HIT franchise, which began with Vishwak Sen and was followed by Adivi Sesh in the second part. Both actors attended the pre-release event to show their support. Produced by Nani’s own banner, the franchise has become a benchmark for intelligent thrillers in Indian cinema.
