KAJOL AND R MADHAVAN TALK AJAY DEVGN! Watch the Video Where They Spill the Beans About Their Co-Star What Did They Say?

Bollywood actress Kajol is all set to venture into new territory with her upcoming film ‘Maa’, a mythological horror that draws inspiration from the powerful legend of Maa Kali. The trailer, which recently dropped to a wave of applause, has left fans intrigued with its eerie visuals and intense atmosphere. Touted as the first-of-its-kind horror film rooted in Indian mythology, Maa portrays the dark yet empowering tale of divine strength, motherhood, and protection.

Set in the Universe of ‘Shaitaan’

In a surprise move, actor R Madhavan, who starred as the antagonist in Shaitaan, appeared at the trailer launch to introduce Maa. The film is intriguingly set in the same universe as Shaitaan, creating a larger narrative of mythological darkness. Madhavan’s unexpected presence added weight to the event, sparking fan theories about a possible cinematic universe built around supernatural elements.

Maa is presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films, and produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande, with Kumar Mangat Pathak serving as co-producer. The film is slated for a theatrical release on 27th June 2025.

Kajol and Madhavan Talk Films and Friendship

At the event, Kajol and R Madhavan also engaged in a candid conversation about their experiences working on their respective projects and shared light-hearted moments about Ajay Devgn, who is both a producer on Maa and a frequent collaborator of both actors.

Kajol, speaking fondly of her husband Ajay, said, “He is just too good, he is horribly a very good man.” She jokingly added that Ajay knew she had no excuses to skip work, saying, “If I told him I had an engagement at home, he’d probably say, ‘Kaha jana hain, mujhe bata.’” She also praised him as an “efficient producer”, highlighting the smooth production process of Maa.

R Madhavan echoed her sentiments, saying, “Ajay only gives a look and that is enough.” Reflecting on their past collaborations, he added, “I have worked with him in two films now and had a lovely experience. I’m very thankful for that.”

A Unique Horror Experience Awaits

With Kajol in a never-seen-before role, Maa is shaping up to be a unique cinematic experience blending devotion, dread, and mythology. The powerful narrative and atmospheric tension promise a landmark film in the Indian horror genre.
