The shoot of Ram Charan’s first production, The India House, was stalled temporarily due to a serious accident on the sets. During a shoot for an action sequence in the Shamshabad region of Hyderabad, a huge water tank collapsed, resulting in a flood situation on the sets. A few crew members, including some assistant cinematographers, got injured during the commotion.
The team was shooting an action scene near a seashore set when the incident occurred, sources reveal. A water tank weighing heavily, which was employed in order to create tidal waves, collapsed abruptly. The water under high pressure rushed through the entire set, destroying props and equipment. A viral clip of the accident reveals the disastrous effect equipment floating, individuals running for cover, and complete chaos on location.
Among those injured, an assistant cameraman was seriously hurt, while others were lightly bruised and traumatized. All injured crew members were immediately taken to a private hospital in Hyderabad, where they are undergoing medical treatment. The shoot has been temporarily shelved for the moment, and the set is still non-functional because of safety issues.
It is also not known if lead actor Nikhil Siddharth was on the sets during the accident. No formal complaint has yet been filed with the police, and Shamshabad Police have not issued a statement. The production crew, led by Ram Charan’s banner, will be responding shortly on the incident and what will be done in the future.

Released in 2023 on the 140th birth anniversary of Veer Savarkar, The India House is a period drama based on India’s freedom struggle. Ram Vamsi Krishna directs the film, with Nikhil Siddharth, Sai Manjrekar, and Anupam Kher playing lead roles. The accident may affect the release plan of the film, although official word is still pending.
