Comedian and Bigg Boss 17 Winner Munawar Faruqui is basking in the glory of his debut web series First Copy. The crime thriller, which has been helmed by Farhan P, released on Amazon MX Player on June 20 and has been finding a huge response from audiences so far. The series, which is based in the city’s grimy world of 1990s cinema piracy and illegal business, features Munawar and Krystle D’Souza in the lead roles.
Success Party and Power Couple Appearance
To commemorate the success of the show, the producers organized a big party on July 24. Munawar showed up dapper in an all-black outfit, complete with a beaded jacket, collared top, and flared pants. He posed for photographers and smiled warmly at them. He later brought his wife Mehzabeen Coatwala along for photographs, putting a warm arm around her waist as they both smiled at the cameras.
Mehzabeen, black twinning, shocked in a high-neck dress with stylish makeup and loose hair. The chemistry of the couple and their fashionable appearance was noteworthy, and a viral caption said: “Munawar Faruqui with wife Mehzabeen at the success party of his show First Copy.”

Their Journey Together
Munawar and Mehzabeen got married in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai on May 26, 2024. Munawar has a son named Mikael, aged 7, from his earlier marriage to Jasmine, whereas Mehzabeen also has a daughter from her earlier marriage.

About the Show
First Copy follows Arif, played by Munawar, a quick-witted young man whose hustle lands him deep in the world of movie piracy. Speaking about the project, Munawar said, “This is a completely new world for me… I’ve given it my all.” The series also stars Gulshan Grover, Saqib Ayub, Ashi Singh, Meiyang Chang, Inam Ul Haq, and Raza Murad.
