Bollywood hunk Shahid Kapoor is again hogging the limelight—both for finishing his highly awaited collaboration with director Vishal Bhardwaj and for his suave new look that’s raging on social media. The actor, who recently finished shooting his fourth film with Bhardwaj, posted a series of pictures on Instagram, which drove fans wild.
Vishal Bhardwaj Collaboration: A “Madly Different” Role
Having given us iconic performances in Kaminey, Haider, and Rangoon, Shahid has completed his fourth film with Vishal Bhardwaj. Posting a behind-the-scenes monochrome picture with the director, Shahid was thrilled and hinted at a “secretly titled” one that will be revealed soon.
“And it’s a WRAP. My 4th collaboration with this special man @vishalrbhardwaj. Excitement levels are off the charts,” Shahid posted.
He also thanked his fellow cast members Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal, and others. Special mention was made of Disha Patani for the two song chemistry and Shahid teased the inclusion of another favorite actor whose name remains a secret for now.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Biopic Shelved
In a disappointing news for fans, Shahid Kapoor’s ambitious biopic on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been officially shelved. Director Amit Rai (OMG 2) confirmed this in an interview with Mid-Day, divulging his frustration over the industry’s systemic hurdles.
“Even if you have proved your mettle with a ₹180 crore film, it’s not enough,” Rai said, pointing out challenges over casting, production, and industry management.
The project, which had generated significant anticipation, now stands cancelled, leaving many fans disheartened.
Speculation Around Cocktail 2 and New Look Goes Viral
Alongside film updates, Shahid shared two stunning new photos on Instagram that quickly went viral. Dressed in a sharp, stylish ensemble, the actor had fans flooding the comments section, calling him “handsome” and “evergreen.”
With the shoot of Cocktail 2 said to be already underway, and looks of Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon already out, rumors are high that Shahid Kapoor too could be a part of the cult rom-com sequel.
