After the success of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2, television queen Ektaa Kapoor is ready to bring back one of her most iconic supernatural franchises — Naagin — with its much-awaited seventh season. As anticipation builds, reports suggest that Priyanka Chahar Choudhary has been finalised as the female lead for Naagin 7, and now, another familiar face is being considered for the male lead.
Namik Paul in Talks for Male Lead Role
According to a report by IWMBuzz, Namik Paul, best known for his current role in Kumkum Bhagya, is a strong contender for the main male lead opposite Priyanka. A source revealed, “Namik Paul is a strong contender for a major lead role in Naagin 7.” With Kumkum Bhagya set to go off-air on September 19, 2025, Namik may soon be making the switch to another Balaji production.
Namik also took to social media to bid farewell to his Kumkum Bhagya journey, sharing a heartfelt post: “Heavy hearts. Happy faces. These beautiful people I had the pleasure to work with. And a Happy Ever After Randhawas Out.”
While there were initial speculations about Vivian Dsena joining the cast, no official confirmation has been made.
The Return of a Cult Classic
Naagin, produced under Balaji Telefilms, has been a consistent TRP-topper since its debut in 2015 with Mouni Roy in the lead. Known for its shape-shifting serpents, fantasy, and high-stakes drama, the franchise has kept audiences hooked season after season.
