Jessie Cave Opens Up About Fan Convention Ban:
Jessie Cave, the actress who played Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter films, has revealed that she was barred from attending a fan convention because of her OnlyFans account.
In a post shared on her Substack, Cave explained that organizers told her she was no longer suitable for the event, calling the convention a “family show” and citing the adult reputation of OnlyFans.
“They explained it was because it’s a ‘family show and OnlyFans is affiliated with p*rn,’” Cave wrote. “This was baffling to me, as so many actors who do conventions have done projects with n*dity and s*x scenes. I’m just playing with my hair!”
Why Did Jessie Cave Start OnlyFans?
Back in March, Cave announced her OnlyFans page, promising followers “the best quality hair sounds” and quirky, playful content. She has repeatedly clarified that her page is not s*xual, though it appeals to fans with specific interests, such as hair-related ASMR.
On her podcast Before We Break Up Again, she explained: “Fetish doesn’t necessarily mean s*xual. I’m exploring creativity in a different way. My aim is to pay off debt, fix my house, and invest in myself.”
Moving Beyond Harry Potter:
While some fans expressed disappointment, Cave is not looking back. Having attended conventions for over 15 years, she admits she has “enough photos and wizard memorabilia” to last a lifetime.
“I am not upset about the prospect of no more Harry Potter conventions,” she wrote. “There’s going to be a new cast now, and it’s a different time. It’s time to move on and play new characters.”
A Divisive Reaction:
The decision to exclude Cave has sparked conversation about the stigma attached to platforms like OnlyFans. While the site is commonly associated with a*ult content, many creators, including Cave, use it for niche communities, lifestyle, or artistic projects.
Still, Cave’s exclusion raises questions about how fandom events police morality and image, especially when many actors who attend have worked on projects with mature themes.

Lavender Brown’s New Era:
Jessie Cave portrayed Lavender Brown in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and the final two Deathly Hallows films. In HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series reboot, newcomer Sienna Moosah will take on the role.
For Cave, though, her journey is about reinvention: “One year. I’ll try this for one year. My aim is self-love, empowerment, and to prove people wrong.”
