The recent episode of Bigg Boss 19 saw a heated argument between contestants Ashnoor Kaur and Farhana Bhatt while doing the nomination task, and soon the situation got out of hand. Farhana, nominating Ashnoor, did not hesitate and made some personal as well as abusive comments that have now evoked strong reactions from viewers.
Justifying why she is nominating her, Farhana said, “Ashnoor ka personally koi equation hai hi nahi kisi ke saath” — meaning that Ashnoor does not have a personal connection with anyone in the house. The comment did not go down well with Ashnoor, who retorted, “You have insecurities,” finger-pointing at Farhana’s actions in the house.
Farhana, apparently stung, retorted back with, “Insecurity, woh bhi tumse? Have you looked at yourself?” Continuing on the same vein, she said, “Iske jaise chipkali se main darti hoon, guys. Mujhe bolti hai ki main uske saamne bolti nahi hoon — tujhe nightmare aate honge mere.”
The abusive personal insults — particularly the “chipkali” (lizard) analogy — made other housemates visibly uncomfortable, and Ashnoor looked stunned but controlled her emotions. Farhana’s comments have since turned volatile on social media, with fans calling her out for body-shaming, bullying, and resorting to personal insults rather than equitable gameplay.
The hashtags #RespectAshnoor, #EvictFarhana, and #StopBullying started trending immediately after the incident went on air. Various people now are demanding host Salman Khan to discuss the incident in the next Weekend Ka Vaar episode, urging that such an attitude not be made a norm on national television.
