Fans at the Austin City Limits (ACL) Festival were in for a nostalgic treat when actress and singer Hilary Duff made a surprise appearance during pop artist Role Model’s set in Texas.
The buzz began when Role Model, 28, performed his fan-favorite track, “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.” Mid-song, he teased the crowd with the question, “Who’s going to be Sally?” A college student named Siena shouted, “It’s me!”—but the real “Sally” was yet to come.
Suddenly, Duff appeared on stage, flashing a playful smile and sticking out her tongue as she danced beside him. Her appearance sent the crowd into a frenzy, with fans cheering wildly and capturing the moment on their phones. Role Model cheekily introduced her with a nod to her iconic 2003 hit “What Dreams Are Made Of” from The Lizzie McGuire Movie.
The unexpected cameo was widely shared on social media platform X, with fans calling it one of the most unforgettable highlights of the festival. “OMG, worth the whole ticket price right there,” one person wrote. Another added, “What an outstanding moment.”
