Esha Deol and ex-husband Bharat Takhtani were recently seen spending time with their family, more than a year after they divorced. The two had a family outing, and a picture shared by Bharat on his Instagram stories showed that they had a relaxed meal at a restaurant with a friend and Esha’s sister. Beaming with smiles, the snapshot was one of harmony and warmth.
Bharat captioned the post, “Family Sunday,” a sign of the friendly relationship that the former couple still has despite having broken up. Esha and Bharat married in 2012 and separated in early 2024 after 11 years of marriage. Although the reason for the breakup was not announced, they issued a joint announcement to announce the move was “mutual and amicable.”
The pair, in making the statement, reaffirmed that daughters Radhya and Miraya were and will remain their biggest concern. “We have taken the decision together and with mutual respect to split. the best interests and well-being of our two children is and will be of greatest concern to us,” they stated, requesting as well that they be left alone throughout the process.
In September, Esha discussed their co-parenting experience in an interview on the YouTube channel Mamaraazzi. She emphasized the need for maturity and emotional calmness in the process when children are concerned. “When things don’t work in a certain equation, two mature people have to realize another equation so that the unit can remain intact for the sake of the kids,” she said, praising the maturity that she and Bharat possess.
Meanwhile, Bharat too seemed to have closed romance. He just welcomed his new girlfriend Meghna Lakhani on Instagram by posting a sweet photo. The post captioned “Welcome to the family, it’s official,” confirming his new relationship and suggesting a new chapter in his romance life.
