The 25th edition of Lakme Fashion Week 2025, currently underway at The Grand, Vasant Kunj in New Delhi, has already given fashion lovers plenty to talk about. Among the standout moments was a heartwarming off-ramp interaction between Sky Force actor Veer Pahariya and his girlfriend Tara Sutaria that quickly went viral on social media.
Veer, walking the runway for Abraham & Thakore, added a touch of romance to the evening by blowing a playful kiss toward Tara, who was seated in the audience. The gesture didn’t go unnoticed—Tara was visibly thrilled, clapping and smiling as she cheered him on. Sharing the spotlight was Aditi Rao Hydari, who not only walked the ramp as the showstopper for Satya Paul, but also debuted her role as Co-Creative Director for the label. She unveiled her first collection titled Night Garden, a poetic line inspired by nature, blending the brand’s signature heritage prints with fluid, contemporary silhouettes.
Aditi graced the runway in a delicate, floral printed pastel saree, channeling grace and serenity while showcasing Satya Paul’s evolving design language. Deeply involved in the creative process, Aditi reimagined classic pieces with a fresh perspective, focusing on elegance, sustainability, and artistic storytelling. Her contribution marked a new chapter for the brand and a significant moment in the event.
Returning to the capital after earlier festivities in Mumbai, Lakme Fashion Week 2025, held in collaboration with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), runs from October 8 to 12. With over 100 designers, brands, buyers, and media representatives participating, this season promises an exhilarating mix of runway shows and creative collaborations.
Focusing on sustainability, diversity, and innovation, the event also honors legacy design voices while uplifting emerging talent.
