Diljit Dosanjh has done it again — this time by becoming the first Indian artist to sell out a stadium show in Sydney, an historic achievement in his international career. The Punjabi megastar’s concert as part of his Aura Tour 2025 attracted close to 30,000 fans, with tickets selling for as much as $800. The evening was a jubilant celebration of desi pride, culture, and music, as the audience danced, sang along, and waved flags in solidarity.
In a touching moment, the family of one of his fans replicated Diljit’s Met Gala 2025 look on stage during the concert. Touched by the gesture, the singer welcomed the kids on stage, charming everyone with his modesty. The Aura Tour comes in the wake of the huge success of his Dil-Luminati World Tour, which covered more than 40 shows in North America, Europe, the UK, India, and the UAE, and had more than 7.5 lakh visitors and reportedly earned more than $100 million.
Diljit’s latest album, Aura, is leading charts worldwide. With chartbusters such as Kufar (Manushi Chhillar), You and Me, and Charmer (Sanya Malhotra), the album solidifies his position as one of India’s most powerful global music legends.
Apart from music, Dosanjh is still at the top of his game in film. He recently received two International Emmy nods for Amar Singh Chamkila — Best Actor and Best TV/Mini-Series — and has just completed shooting for Border 2.
Born in Dosanjh Kalan, Punjab, Diljit started his music career in 2002 with albums such as Smile and Chocolate, prior to establishing himself with The Next Level (2009). His Bollywood film debut in Udta Punjab (2016) brought him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut, followed by blockbusters such as Good Newwz and Honsla Rakh. With chart-busting albums such as G.O.A.T. and sold-out international tours, Diljit Dosanjh is consistently redefining what it is to be an authentic global superstar.
