Jennie Drops $14M in CASH on Former Embassy—Inside Her Jaw-Dropping Seoul Property Empire!

Jennie buys a $14M Seoul building in cash! From luxury villas to embassies, BLACKPINK’s star proves she’s a real estate powerhouse.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie is making headlines again—but this time, it’s not for her music or fashion. The global K-pop superstar has reportedly purchased a prime building in Seoul’s prestigious Yongsan district for a staggering KRW 20 billion (approximately $14 million). What truly shocked fans and industry insiders alike? She paid the entire amount in cash.

According to reports, Jennie secured the property in May 2025, with the ownership transfer finalized in December. The building is located in Dongbinggo-dong, an upscale neighborhood known for housing several foreign embassies. Interestingly, the property once served as the Embassy of Iraq, adding a unique historical touch to the purchase.

The land spans 595 square meters, with a total floor space of 551.08 square meters. The structure includes one basement level and two floors above ground, making it a sizable and versatile property in one of Seoul’s most desirable areas.

This is far from Jennie’s first major real estate move. In 2024, she reportedly rented an entire building in Hannam-dong for her independent agency, Od Atelier. The monthly rent alone was said to exceed 60 million won. A year earlier, in 2023, she purchased a luxury villa in the elite UN Village neighborhood for 5 billion won—also paid entirely in cash.

Experts believe Dongbinggo-dong and the wider Yongsan area are poised for significant growth. Major redevelopment projects are underway, including the Hannam New Town reconstruction and the long-anticipated Yongsan Park development. Construction in Hannam District 5 has already begun, while former U.S. military sites such as Camp Kim, the UN Command site, and the US Army Transportation Corps area are expected to transform into high-end residential and commercial spaces.

Beyond real estate, Jennie continues to thrive musically. In 2025, she released her solo album Ruby, which was met with overwhelming fan support. Her single “Like Jennie” performed exceptionally well, setting new records.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is gearing up for a major comeback. The group will release their third mini album, Deadline, on February 27—their first new music together in over three years. The five-track album includes the title song “GO,” along with “JUMP,” “Me and my,” “Champion,” and “Fxxxboy,” heightening anticipation among fans worldwide.
