Poonam Pandey has once again caught public attention after sharing a surprising post on Instagram on March 31. In the pictures, she appears to be showing a baby bump. In one image, she has lifted her T-shirt slightly, while in the other, she keeps it down but still highlights her stomach. She did not write any caption and only used emojis of a pregnant woman, a milk bottle and a baby.
Soon after the post went live, social media users started reacting in large numbers. Some fans congratulated her, while many others seemed confused and unsure about the truth behind the post. One fan wrote, “Really ?” Another fan commented, “What ????? Seriously ????” One of the comments also read, “Hmmm but father kon hain.??” At the same time, several users questioned whether the images were real. A few people suggested that the pictures might be created using artificial intelligence, while others believed it could be another publicity stunt. Comments like “AI.” and “Another fake stunt.” were also seen under the post.
This reaction comes in the background of a major controversy involving Poonam in 2024. On February 1, her official Instagram account announced that she had died due to cervical cancer. The news shocked many people. However, on February 2, she revealed that it was not true and that the announcement was part of a campaign to raise awareness about cervical cancer. While she said it was done for a good cause, many people criticized her strongly for using such a serious topic in this way.
Looking at her personal life, Poonam Pandey married her long time boyfriend Sam Ahmed Bombay in 2020. The wedding was kept private due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Soon after, she filed a complaint against him, accusing him of molestation, threats and assault. He was arrested in Goa after the incident, which reportedly happened in Canacona village while she was shooting for a film. The couple separated shortly after, and Poonam later described the relationship as traumatic and said it led to her being hospitalised. She eventually moved forward with divorce proceedings, citing severe physical abuse.
On the work front, she was last seen in the reality show Lock Upp, hosted by Kangana Ranaut, where Munawar Faruqui emerged as the winner
