Hailee Steinfeld has welcomed her first child, a baby girl, with her husband Josh Allen. The couple shared the news through a post but did not reveal details like the baby’s name or exact date of birth. They confirmed the arrival of their daughter in a message shared on Hailee’s Beau Society Substack. In their announcement, they wrote, “Our baby girl has arrived. We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes.”
Before the birth of her child, Hailee had celebrated the upcoming arrival with a baby shower. The event took place at her home in Los Angeles. Around 30 of her close friends and family members attended the gathering, which was organised by her mother.
Hailee later shared details about the event. She wrote, “On a sunny Saturday in Los Angeles, my mom and about 30 women I love so much gathered in my most comfortable place, my backyard, for a baby shower. My mom planned the entire gorgeous thing.”
She also mentioned that the baby shower did not have a strict theme, but there was a light nursery rhyme element in the decorations. According to her, books were placed around the space, and guests were encouraged to bring books for the baby. She said, “Everyone brought a book, so this baby is building quite the little library.”
Another special detail from the event was a knitting station arranged by her mother. Guests could create handmade items for the baby. Hailee shared a personal memory connected to this activity. She said, “It’s a very full-circle moment for me because my mom took up knitting when I made my first movie. She was sitting in a trailer all day and needed something to do. It was Sudoku or knitting, and she chose the latter. Our family would joke that she was going to knit the red carpet because she didn’t stop. She taught me how to knit way back when. I can’t really cast on or off, but I was able to knit a square to put on this baby’s blanket. I feel like I reopened a fun hobby.”
Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen got married in May 2025 and have now started a new phase in their lives as parents.
