The makers of the popular streaming series Panchayat have started filming for its upcoming fifth season. On Friday, the team shared the update on Instagram while also marking the 6th anniversary of the show. The post included several stills from earlier seasons along with behind the scenes moments from the set. Along with the images, they wrote, “6 years of being in Phulera and never wanting to leave. #PanchayatOnPrime, New Season, Now Filming”.
Since its release in 2020, Panchayat has slowly built a strong connection with viewers. Over the years, it has become one of the most loved Indian web series. Each season has added more depth to its characters and story. Season 4 especially received a lot of attention from audiences due to its emotional and dramatic moments.
The previous season ended on an important note. Sachiv Ji was seen thinking about his future after getting his CAT exam results. At the same time, Manju Devi was dealing with her loss in the Panchayat elections. Pradhan Ji also appeared disturbed after the election results. These moments left the story at a turning point, making viewers curious about what will happen next.
Season 5 is expected to continue directly from this situation. The new season will likely show how the characters deal with these changes in their lives. Like earlier seasons, it is expected to include a mix of simple humour, emotional scenes, and everyday village life.
