Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 Finally Slows Down After Massive Box Office Run

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 sees its lowest collection in week five after a record breaking run while still crossing massive box office milestones.

Ranveer Singh’s film Dhurandhar 2, which has been dominating the box office since its release, is now starting to slow down as it enters its fifth week in theatres. The spy action thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar, had an incredible run from the very beginning and broke several records along the way. It even made history by becoming the first Bollywood film to cross the ₹1000 crore mark in India, setting a new benchmark for the industry.

According to the latest reports, the film earned ₹5.20 crore on its fifth Monday, which is the lowest single day collection it has seen so far. Despite this drop, the overall numbers remain very strong. The film’s total India gross collection now stands at ₹1,303.37 crore, while its net collection has reached ₹1,088.62 crore. These figures show that even with the recent slowdown, the film continues to perform at a high level.

Looking back at its weekly performance, Dhurandhar 2 had an outstanding start. In its first week alone, it collected ₹674.17 crore, which set the tone for its blockbuster status. The second week saw earnings of ₹263.65 crore, followed by ₹110.60 crore in the third week. While the collections have naturally reduced over time, the film has already achieved massive success and secured its place among the biggest hits in Indian cinema.

The film is now facing competition from new releases in theatres. One of them is Dacoit, an action drama starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, which has been attracting attention from audiences. Another film adding to the competition is the Tamil sci fi romantic film Love Insurance Kompany, featuring Pradeep Ranganathan. These new releases have slightly affected the overall footfall for Dhurandhar 2.

Even with this competition, Dhurandhar 2 has managed to outperform several major blockbuster films. It has already crossed the lifetime collections of big hits like Baahubali 2 The Conclusion, RRR, Kalki 2898 AD, KGF Chapter 2, Jawan, Pathaan, Stree 2 and Animal in India. This achievement highlights the film’s massive popularity and strong connection with the audience.

The film was released on March 19 in multiple languages, with special paid previews a day earlier. The story continues the journey of Ranveer Singh’s character, an Indian spy who operates in dangerous conditions to stop terror threats. The sequel explores his transformation and deeper involvement in complex missions, along with intense confrontations with powerful enemies.
