Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor celebrated a special milestone in her personal life as she completed 10 years of togetherness with husband Anand Ahuja. The couple dated for nearly two years before getting married on May 8, 2018. To mark the occasion, Sonam shared an emotional post along with a video featuring memorable moments from their journey together.
The actress posted the video on Instagram, showing different phases of their relationship over the years. The clip included moments from their travels, personal celebrations and family life. Towards the end of the video, Sonam also shared glimpses from her pregnancy journey with their first child, Vayu Ahuja. The video later showed moments from her second pregnancy as well.
One of the final visuals in the clip featured Sonam taking care of their newborn child while Anand Ahuja spent time playing with their elder son. The family moments received attention from fans on social media soon after the actress shared the post online.
Along with the video, Sonam wrote a heartfelt note about the life they have built together over the last decade. She wrote, “A decade with you. Eight years married. Three cities. Three homes. Two beautiful boys. Countless dreams built from scratch.”
The actress also reflected on the challenges and achievements they experienced together during the years. She mentioned that the couple took risks, learnt lessons, built businesses, faced failures and celebrated victories side by side. She also spoke about supporting each other during uncertain times.
Expressing her feelings for her husband, Sonam added, “You are still the first person I want to speak to in the morning and the last person I want beside me at night. The calm in my chaos. The person who makes me feel safest, strongest, and most myself.”
Concluding her note, the actress shared that her love for Anand has grown deeper over time. She wrote that after 10 years together, she now loves him “more gently, more intentionally, and more completely than when we first began.”
