Actors Kunal Kemmu and Preity Zinta are set to work together for the first time in the upcoming action comedy film Vibe. The movie is backed by Amazon MGM Studios and is expected to release in theatres on September 18 this year.
Vibe is produced by Kunal Kemmu and Chirag Nihalani under the banner of Drongo Films. The project also marks the first production venture for the studio. Apart from acting in the film, Kunal has also written and directed the movie.
The film marks Preity Zinta’s return to the screen after a gap. Along with Kunal and Preity, the movie also stars Sparsh Shrivastava in an important role. Debutant actress Vanshika Dhir is also part of the cast.
According to the makers, Vibe follows the story of two close friends whose normal lives suddenly turn into a fast paced and unpredictable adventure. The film explores friendship, survival and unexpected situations through action and comedy elements.
The makers announced the project on social media with a post that read, “punch aur punchline dono guaranteed with VIBE…Releasing in cinemas near you on Sept 18.”
Preity Zinta also shared the announcement poster on her social media handle and wrote, “Hi All, 18th Sept will be such a Vibe See you in a Theater near you very soon #Ting #Vibe.”
Apart from Vibe, Kunal Kemmu is also working on another major project, Golmaal 5. The upcoming comedy film features actors Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Sharman Joshi in key roles. The movie recently went on floors on director Rohit Shetty’s birthday.
Recently, Ajay Devgn shared a glimpse from the Ooty shooting schedule of Golmaal 5 on social media. The photo featured Ajay along with Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Kemmu sitting on the franchise’s well known five seater motorbike.
Sharing the post, Ajay wrote, “Iss baar sawaari badi hai, aur entertainment usse bhi zyada bada hoga #Golmaal5 Ooty schedule with the boys @itsrohitshetty @rohitshettypicturez.”
With Vibe and Golmaal 5, Kunal Kemmu currently has two comedy projects that are drawing attention among audiences.
