Drishyam 3 Creates History With Massive Weekend Collection At Kerala Box Office

Drishyam 3 earns Rs. 38.60 crore in Kerala within 4 days and becomes one of the biggest opening weekends ever for a Malayalam film.

Malayalam film Drishyam 3 has recorded one of the biggest opening weekends ever at the Kerala box office. The film, directed by Jeethu Joseph and starring Mohanlal, collected Rs. 38.60 crore gross in Kerala during its first 4 days in theatres.

The family crime thriller earned Rs. 9.60 crore on Day 4, which was Sunday. With this, the film achieved the second biggest opening weekend for a Malayalam movie in Kerala. It remained behind only Mohanlal’s own film L2: Empuraan, which had collected Rs. 42.50 crore during its opening weekend.

According to trade reports, Drishyam 3 has also shown strong ticket sales for its first Monday. This indicates that the film may continue to perform steadily during weekdays as well. Despite receiving mixed reactions from some viewers, the movie is attracting large audiences because of the popularity of the character Georgekutty and his family story, which has built a loyal fan following over the years.

Trade experts believe the movie could cross the Rs. 50 crore mark in Kerala by Tuesday if the current trend continues. The film is also expected to enter the Rs. 100 crore club during its full theatrical run. If that happens, it could challenge some of the highest grossing Malayalam films in recent years.

The original Drishyam was a major industry hit and became one of the most successful Malayalam films of its time. The second part, Drishyam 2, did not get a theatrical release because of the lockdown period and was released directly on streaming platforms. Because of that, many fans were waiting to watch the third part on the big screen.

The day wise Kerala box office collection of Drishyam 3 is as follows:

Day 1: Rs. 11.00 crore
Day 2: Rs. 8.80 crore
Day 3: Rs. 9.20 crore
Day 4: Rs. 9.60 crore (est.)

Total: Rs. 38.60 crore
