Off Campus fans finally have their answer, and yes, it’s officially Dean and Allie’s season. After weeks of speculation online, media sources have confirmed that season 2 of the hit Prime Video romance series will focus primarily on the love story between Dean and Allie, following the massive success of season 1. Fans already got small glimpses of their chemistry in the first season, but now their relationship is moving fully into the spotlight.
The announcement was made by series creator Louisa Levy, who confirmed that Dean and Allie will lead the emotional core of the upcoming season.
“We are so excited to continue Allie and Dean’s story as our primary romance of season 2 after kickstarting their romance in season 1,” Levy said.
But fans of Hannah and Garrett don’t need to panic just yet.
According to Levy, the fan-favorite couple from season 1 will still remain a major part of the story moving forward.
“If you fell in love with Hannah and Garrett, don’t worry.. they will still be an integral part of our robust ensemble,” she added.
The Prime Video series is based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling Off Campus novels, with each book focusing on a different couple from Briar University’s friend group.
Season 1 centered around Hannah and Garrett’s romance and quickly exploded online thanks to its college romance setting, hockey drama, emotional tension and surprisingly healthy male friendships, something viewers constantly praised across social media.
Now season 2 is shifting toward Dean and Allie’s complicated relationship, which book readers already know becomes one of the most emotional storylines in the franchise. The show’s structure is also slightly different from Netflix’s Bridgerton-style approach.
Instead of fully abandoning previous couples every season, Off Campus plans to keep its characters interconnected while teasing the next romance ahead of time. Creator Louisa Levy previously explained that the show wants audiences to stay emotionally invested in the larger friend group instead of treating each season like a complete reset.
And honestly, that may be exactly why the fandom is already obsessed. The upcoming season will also introduce new cast member India Fowler as Grace Ivers, another major character from the books.
Meanwhile, fans online are already joking that the world is “not prepared” for Allie’s iconic lingerie collection storyline to finally hit screens.
