The makers of Raakh have released the official trailer of the upcoming investigative drama, offering viewers a first look at the dark and intense story at the centre of the series. The trailer was unveiled by Prime Video on June 1, 2026, along with the confirmation that the show will premiere on June 12. Starring Sonali Bendre, Ali Fazal and Aamir Bashir in key roles, Raakh is a crime thriller that focuses on a disturbing criminal investigation. The story begins with the mysterious disappearance of two teenagers. With no immediate clues about what happened to them, the case quickly becomes a source of concern for both their family and the wider community.
As the search for answers continues, the disappearance sends shockwaves across the city. Fear and uncertainty begin to spread while a determined police officer takes charge of the investigation. His efforts lead him on a search that extends across the country as he attempts to uncover the truth behind the case.
Set in Delhi in 1978, the series explores a period when crimes of such brutality were uncommon and deeply shocking. As the investigation progresses, the officer finds himself entering a troubling world marked by violence, trauma and disturbing human behaviour. The story not only follows the hunt for those responsible but also examines the mindset and motivations of the individuals behind the crime.
According to the makers, Raakh is a crime investigation drama that combines mystery with psychological elements. The series aims to explore both the impact of the crime on victims and families as well as the darker aspects of human nature that emerge during the investigation.
The show has been directed and executive produced by Prosit Roy. It has been created, written and co directed by Anusha Nandakumar and Sandeep Saket, while the dialogues have been written by Ayush Trivedi.
Raakh has been produced by Deepak Dhar, Rishi Negi, Mrinalini Jain and Shyam Rathi under the banner of Endemol Shine India in association with BhaDiPa.
With Sonali Bendre, Ali Fazal and Aamir Bashir leading the cast, the series is expected to deliver an emotionally driven story centred on crime, loss and the pursuit of justice. Raakh will begin streaming exclusively on Prime Video in India from June 12.
