Disclosure Day continues its run in theatres with mixed results at the Indian box office. Although the sci fi thriller arrived with strong expectations due to the involvement of Steven Spielberg and Emily Blunt, the film has struggled to maintain the momentum it generated during its opening weekend. While audience interest was strong during the first few days, weekday collections suggest that the film is finding it difficult to sustain the same level of attention.
According to reported box office figures, Disclosure Day collected Rs 0.58 crore net on Day 5 across 1,192 shows. This represents a 5.5 percent increase compared to Day 4, when the film earned Rs 0.55 crore net. The overall occupancy on Tuesday stood at 12.80 percent. Morning shows recorded 6.33 percent occupancy, afternoon shows reached 12.22 percent, evening shows stood at 12.56 percent, and night shows performed best with 18.44 percent occupancy.
With its latest collection, the film’s total India net earnings have reached Rs 7.43 crore, while the India gross collection stands at Rs 8.91 crore. Although the slight increase on Day 5 is a positive sign, it is not significant enough to alter the film’s overall box office trend.
The day wise performance of Disclosure Day is as follows:
Day 1 (Friday): Rs 1.80 crore
Day 2 (Saturday): Rs 2.50 crore
Day 3 (Sunday): Rs 2.00 crore
Day 4 (Monday): Rs 0.55 crore
Day 5 (Tuesday): Rs 0.58 crore
Total India Net Collection: Rs 7.43 crore
The numbers show a strong opening weekend followed by a noticeable decline once the work week began. While Tuesday delivered a small improvement, collections remain well below weekend levels.
In comparison, other films currently in theatres are showing different trends. Kane Parsons Backrooms collected Rs 0.43 crore net on Day 5, recording a 22.9 percent increase from its previous day’s Rs 0.35 crore and taking its total India net collection to Rs 4.28 crore. Meanwhile, Obsession continues to perform strongly in its extended theatrical run. On Day 19, the film collected Rs 2.00 crore net, matching its previous day’s earnings and pushing its total India net collection to Rs 68.55 crore.
One of the main concerns for Disclosure Day is the drop in weekday occupancy. Lower attendance during weekdays often indicates limited repeat viewership and mixed audience response. While the film remains active across multiple screens, its future performance will largely depend on whether it can attract more viewers in the coming days. The next few days are expected to play an important role in determining the film’s overall theatrical run.
