Main Vaapas Aaunga Surprises With Strong Second Monday Box Office Growth

Main Vaapas Aaunga collected Rs. 27 crore nett in 11 days, with a strong second Monday helping the film stay in contention for box office success.

Main Vaapas Aaunga continued its steady run at the box office by collecting approximately Rs. 2.50 crore nett on its 2nd Monday. The film once again recorded more than 100 per cent growth compared to the corresponding day of the previous week, highlighting its strong momentum after the first week.

The latest collection is also around 25 per cent higher than the film’s 2nd Friday earnings, indicating that audience interest has remained strong even after the weekend. With this performance, the film’s total collection after 11 days now stands at approximately Rs. 27 crore nett in India.

The movie collected around Rs. 12.50 crore nett during its first week. In its second week so far, it has earned approximately Rs. 14.50 crore nett from 4 days, including Rs. 2.00 crore on 2nd Friday, Rs. 4.50 crore on 2nd Saturday, Rs. 5.50 crore on 2nd Sunday and Rs. 2.50 crore on 2nd Monday.

The box office collections of Main Vaapas Aaunga are as follows:

Week One: Rs. 12.50 crore

2nd Friday: Rs. 2.00 crore

2nd Saturday: Rs. 4.50 crore

2nd Sunday: Rs. 5.50 crore

2nd Monday: Rs. 2.50 crore

Total: Rs. 27.00 crore

Based on current trends, the film is expected to finish its second week with collections of around Rs. 22 crore nett. If that happens, its overall total would reach approximately Rs. 34 crore to Rs. 35 crore nett by the end of the week.

While the film is now in contention to emerge as a successful theatrical performer, it still has significant ground to cover. To move beyond Rs. 60 crore nett, it will need to maintain strong collections over the next few weeks and limit weekly drops to under 50 per cent, ideally closer to 40 per cent.

The road ahead may not be easy, as the film is expected to face competition from Welcome to the Jungle, Alpha and Dhamaal 4 over the next three weeks.

The overseas market will also play an important role in the film’s overall performance. Despite growing momentum, the movie faced reduced screenings in several international markets during its second weekend. In Australia, the film’s cinema count reportedly dropped from 57 locations in its opening week to just five cinemas. In the United States, it was playing in fewer than 20 locations.

The film has currently collected USD 1.30 million overseas. If screenings improve and audience response remains positive, industry estimates suggest it could finish with around or over USD 3 million during its international run.
