Netflix has shared new details about its upcoming reality show Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa ahead of its premiere on June 27. At a special press conference, the makers introduced the team behind the show and revealed some of the contestants who will be entering the Lock Upp house.

Present at the event were creator Ektaa Kapoor, Netflix India Vice President Content Monika Shergill, and the two Jailers of the show, Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan. The reality series is co produced by Balaji Telefilms Ltd and Colosceum, while Malaya Pradhan serves as the Executive Producer.

The makers also explained the format of the show. Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa will feature 14 inmates who will spend 6 weeks inside the jail themed reality show. Unlike traditional reality shows, contestants will have to earn in game currency by completing various tasks. This currency can then be used to access essentials such as food, supplies and special privileges inside the game.

The concept of truth is expected to play a major role in the competition. Contestants will face situations where personal revelations and hidden secrets could affect their position in the game. The show will focus on how inmates deal with these challenges while trying to survive and move ahead in the competition.

One of the biggest highlights of the event was the announcement of the first 3 inmates. Actor Ram Kapoor, television actress Shivangi Joshi and Desi Bling breakout star Pamala Serena were introduced as contestants who will be entering the show. Their entry offered viewers an early look at the personalities who will be part of the competition.

With the first contestants now confirmed, attention is turning towards the remaining inmates who are yet to be revealed. More participant announcements are expected before the show’s launch.

Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa will stream exclusively on Netflix from June 27. New episodes will be available every Sat-Wed at 8:00 PM. The show brings together celebrity contestants, strategic gameplay and personal revelations, creating a format that combines competition, survival and reality television drama over the course of 6 weeks.
