Taylor Swift herself had previously hinted that Sheeran could perform at her wedding. During an appearance on the “Capital FM Breakfast Show” in October 2025, she said, “He’s like, ‘I’m always being asked to sing at weddings,’” while speaking about her longtime friend. She also added, “It’s like, ‘Ed, if there’s a stage you know that you’ll be on it.’ He knows what people want, and he wants to give people what they want.” Swift further said that Sheeran would bring “energy” to the celebration.
The wedding brought together several well known names from the entertainment industry, with many celebrities arriving throughout the day.
