The Last Dinner Party Ends the From The Pyre Era With an Emotional New Release

The Last Dinner Party has released the new single Knocking At The Sky as part of the deluxe edition of From The Pyre, along with a cinematic music video.

The Last Dinner Party has released a brand new single called Knocking At The Sky, giving fans one final chapter in the world they created through their second album, From The Pyre. The song is part of the newly released digital deluxe edition of the album and arrives with a visually striking music video. The release continues the band’s successful year following the album’s launch and offers fans fresh music while celebrating one of their biggest projects to date.

According to the band, Knocking At The Sky is meant to be the closing story from the From The Pyre universe. They explained that because the album focused on storytelling and building an imaginary world, they wanted the final song to take listeners into a mysterious version of Los Angeles. The band describes Hollywood as a modern fairy tale where dreams, ambition, and struggle all exist together. In their view, the city is filled with larger than life characters, making it the perfect setting for the album’s final story.

Fans first heard Knocking At The Sky during the last night of the band’s sold out United Kingdom tour at Brixton Academy in late 2025. The studio version was the final song recorded with producer Animesh Raval at Church Studios in Crouch End. Alongside the single, the band also released a music video directed by Sinclair Bryant. The video pays tribute to classic Hollywood films, taking inspiration from old noir movies, horror films, and cult cinema. With dramatic visuals and cinematic storytelling, it perfectly matches the song’s mysterious atmosphere.

The deluxe edition of From The Pyre arrives almost exactly one year after the album was first introduced with the single This Is The Killer Speaking. It also includes the recently released tracks Big Dog and the spoken word piece Come All You Beasts. Together, these additions expand the original album and give fans more music from the band’s creative world.

The Last Dinner Party has spent much of the past year touring across the world. After completing a successful headline tour across the United States, the band is set to perform at several major music festivals this summer, including Isle of Wight, TRNSMT, Latitude, Wilderness, and Finsbury Park alongside Wolf Alice. They will then return to North America to support rising artist sombr on an arena tour.

Looking ahead, the band has also been announced as a supporting act for Olivia Rodrigo’s The Unravelled Tour in Los Angeles and New York during early 2027. Every one of the twenty scheduled shows has already sold out, showing the growing popularity of both artists.

Beyond music, The Last Dinner Party continues to support creative communities and charitable causes. Earlier this year, the band organized The Market Place in Brooklyn, giving local artists a chance to display and sell their work. They have also continued their Ribbons for Provisions campaign, raising money for food banks in cities across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe. Through these efforts, the band has raised tens of thousands of dollars to help people in need while continuing to connect with fans both on and off the stage.
