Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey continues to perform well at the Indian box office, maintaining a steady run even in its third weekend. The fantasy action epic has remained one of the top choices for moviegoers and is now just a step away from crossing the Rs 150 crore net milestone in India.
According to estimates by Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 5.65 crore net on Day 17 from 1,239 shows across the country. The collection was only slightly lower than Saturday’s Rs 5.80 crore, registering a small decline of 2.6 percent. With this, the film’s total collection has reached Rs 149.85 crore net, while the gross collection in India stands at Rs 178.67 crore.
The English version continues to be the biggest contributor to the film’s success. It earned Rs 5.25 crore on Sunday and recorded an impressive 74 percent occupancy. The Hindi version collected Rs 0.35 crore, while the Tamil and Telugu versions added Rs 0.04 crore and Rs 0.01 crore respectively. The numbers show that audiences are still choosing to watch the film in its original language.
The film also witnessed healthy occupancy throughout the day. Footfalls gradually increased from the morning shows and reached their highest level during the evening before slowing slightly during the late night screenings. This trend reflects the film’s continued popularity among audiences despite being in theatres for more than two weeks.
The Odyssey enjoyed a strong start when it released on July 17, 2026. It collected Rs 17.40 crore on its opening day, followed by Rs 22 crore on Day 2 and Rs 21.90 crore on Day 3. By the end of its first week, the film had earned Rs 90.30 crore net in India.
The momentum continued during the second week as the film added another Rs 44.95 crore to its total. Daily collections remained steady, ranging from Rs 2.75 crore to Rs 11.45 crore. Entering its third week, the film collected Rs 3.15 crore on Day 15, followed by Rs 5.80 crore on Day 16 and Rs 5.65 crore on Day 17, showing that audience interest remains strong.
Directed by Christopher Nolan, The Odyssey is based on Homer’s ancient Greek epic poem. The story follows Odysseus, the King of Ithaca, as he struggles to return home after the Trojan War while facing mythical creatures, dangerous enemies and extraordinary challenges along the way.
Made on a reported budget of around USD 250 million, approximately Rs 2,100 crore, the film features an ensemble cast led by Matt Damon. The cast also includes Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Charlize Theron and Lupita Nyong’o. With the film now on the verge of crossing the Rs 150 crore net mark in India, its strong theatrical run continues to highlight Christopher Nolan’s popularity among Indian audiences.
