Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s personal life has been the subject of reports for several months, with claims of trouble in his marriage to Sangeetha Sornalingam. The latest development has now brought a new turn to the matter, with reports claiming that Sangeetha has withdrawn the divorce petition she had filed before the Chengalpattu Family Court in December last year.
According to the reports, the petition had mentioned several reasons for seeking a divorce. These reportedly included an allegation of ‘infidelity’. The petition also claimed that Vijay “gradually withdrew emotionally” from the marriage and became more distant from his family.
The reported petition further alleged that Vijay’s frequent overseas trips and his appearances at public events with an unnamed actress had caused distress to Sangeetha and their two children. However, these claims have not been publicly confirmed by Vijay or Sangeetha.
The latest reports state that the divorce case has now been withdrawn. There has been no official statement from either Vijay or Sangeetha explaining the reason for the withdrawal or confirming the current status of their relationship.
Vijay has frequently been linked with actress Trisha Krishnan, although neither actor has publicly confirmed a romantic relationship. The two have appeared together at several occasions. They also drew attention after visiting Ajith Kumar’s residence together following the death of Ajith’s mother, Mohini Mani.
Trisha was also present during the oath ceremony of Vijay as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. She greeted Vijay’s family and other guests at the event. Speaking to Times Now at the ceremony, Trisha said, “I am very happy.” When asked if she had a message for the people of Tamil Nadu who supported Vijay, she replied, “Yes, congratulations.”
Trisha also addressed breakup rumours involving her and Vijay by sharing a picture from Vijay’s birthday celebration. In the photo, she was seen looking at Vijay as he stood near his birthday cake. Sharing the picture, she wrote, “To the person who makes it all worth it,HBD❤️🧿 00.00″
The latest development surrounding Vijay and Sangeetha has therefore attracted attention, but without an official statement from either of them, details about their personal situation remain unconfirmed.
