The trailer for the upcoming thriller Mousetrap has been released, introducing a strange and dangerous mystery surrounding identity, money and revenge. Based on a webtoon, the series stars Ryu Jun Yeol, Sol Kyung Gu and Lee Kyu Hyung in the lead roles.
The story follows Moon Jae, played by Ryu Jun Yeol, a quiet novelist whose life suddenly falls apart. He loses his name, identity and fortune after a mysterious man known as The Rat appears. The biggest shock comes when Moon Jae discovers that The Rat has exactly the same face as him.
Moon Jae is then forced to prove that he is the real person. While trying to understand what happened, he crosses paths with No Ja, played by Sol Kyung Gu. No Ja is a loan shark who is desperate to recover money that has gone missing. At first, he attacks Moon Jae and demands his money back, but the two eventually decide to work together.
Their unusual partnership has one clear goal. Moon Jae wants his identity and life back, while No Ja wants to recover his missing money. Together, they begin searching for The Rat and try to understand why he targeted Moon Jae.
Meanwhile, detective Sun Yong, played by Lee Kyu Hyung, becomes involved in the case after receiving a mysterious tip. As his investigation continues, he struggles to determine which man is real and which one is The Rat.
The mystery becomes even more complicated with the arrival of Seung Gyu, played by Kim Sung Oh, who appears to have a connection to No Ja.
The trailer also features intense action, including fights, gun battles and car chases. At one point, The Rat tells a barely conscious Moon Jae to run away, leaving more questions about his real intentions.
The central mystery is summed up by the tagline, “A deadly pursuit to find myself,” as Moon Jae begins a dangerous search for the person who has taken his identity and changed his entire life.
