Ghost Soldier Trailer Reveals Jim Caviezel’s High Tech Action Hero Taking On A Powerful Corporation

Jim Caviezel stars in Ghost Soldier as a highly trained former Green Beret who uses futuristic stealth technology to protect a family targeted by corporate hitmen.

Jim Caviezel is stepping into a very different kind of action role with Ghost Soldier, a new action thriller that combines military technology, revenge and a fight against corporate power. The first trailer introduces Caviezel as a highly trained former Green Beret who uses advanced technology to take on a group of dangerous hired killers.

Caviezel is widely known for films such as The Passion of the Christ and Sound of Freedom. In Ghost Soldier, however, his character is far removed from those earlier roles. He plays a tough former military operative who becomes involved after a powerful corporation begins targeting ordinary people living on valuable land.

The trailer shows Caviezel using futuristic stealth technology that allows him to become difficult to see while moving through dangerous situations. The technology gives the character an unusual advantage against the armed men hunting their targets. The film appears to combine traditional military action with ideas similar to the technology seen in video games such as Ghost Recon Future Soldier.

Caviezel also delivers a line in the trailer that reflects his connection with religious themed roles. He says, “God will judge our enemies; I’ll just arrange the meeting.” The line sets the tone for a character who believes he has a clear mission and is willing to use force against those he considers responsible.

According to the trailer, Caviezel’s character is described as an “old-school green beret with advanced military training.” The description comes from a character played by Shea Whigham. The former soldier becomes a major threat to the people working for the corporation after they underestimate his abilities.

The story centres on Brownstone Interworks, a Bahraini owned conglomerate that has acquired rights to a piece of land. The company wants control of the property and allegedly uses violent methods to remove the people living there. Among those affected is the family of a deceased US military veteran.

Directed by William Eubank, who previously made Land of Bad and Underwater, Ghost Soldier has been written by Chris Papasadero. The cast also includes Shea Whigham, Olivia Thirlby, Beau Knapp and Garret Dillahunt.

The film appears to combine the revenge action style of movies such as John Wick, The Beekeeper, Nobody and The Equalizer with futuristic military technology, while focusing on a conflict between one highly trained soldier and a powerful corporate force.
