Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2 Continues to Shine: Day 3 Collection Revealed

Akshay Kumar’s latest historical courtroom drama, Kesari Chapter 2, continues to hold steady at the box office. After a decent opening, the film witnessed gradual growth over the weekend, thanks to positive reviews and strong word-of-mouth. Co-starring R Madhavan and Ananya Panday, the film has managed to cross the ₹29 crore mark in just three days of its release.

Weekend Collection: ₹29.75 Crore in Three Days

As per early estimates shared by Sacnilk.com, Kesari Chapter 2 collected ₹12.25 crore on its third day (Sunday), registering its highest single-day earnings yet. This marks a notable improvement from its opening day collection of ₹7.75 crore and the second day’s ₹9.75 crore. With this momentum, the film’s total domestic net collection now stands at ₹29.75 crore.

While these numbers are respectable, they fall short in comparison to Akshay Kumar’s previous film Sky Force, which had a significantly stronger performance. Sky Force earned ₹27.50 crore on its third day alone and ended its opening weekend with ₹61.75 crore.

A Historical Drama Rooted in Truth

Directed by debutant Karan Singh Tyagi, Kesari Chapter 2 is inspired by real events and based on the book The Case That Shook the Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. The film delves into the aftermath of the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre and follows the story of C Sankaran Nair, a prominent lawyer who challenged the British Empire in court.

Akshay Kumar portrays C Sankaran Nair, who uses the legal system to expose the truth behind one of the darkest chapters in colonial history. R Madhavan stars as British lawyer Advocate Neville McKinley, while Ananya Panday takes on the role of Dilreet Gill, adding emotional depth to the narrative.
