Baaghi 4 Surpasses The Bengal Files Despite Lowest Collection on Day 4: Here’s How

Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 4 Sees Lowest Collection on Day 4, But Still Outperforms The Bengal Files

Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4, the new chapter in the successful action series, keeps going strong at the box office despite having a tough time with mixed reviews and stiff competition. It opened on September 5, pitting itself against Vivek Agnihotri’s The Bengal Files and the Hollywood horror picture The Conjuring: Last Rites. Although Baaghi 4 opened well, its Day 4 collection experienced a significant decline.

Day 4 Registers Lowest Collection Thus Far

As per early estimates made by Sacnilk, Baaghi 4 earned ₹4.25 crore on its opening Monday (Day 4), the lowest collection of its first four days. This makes the film’s overall domestic box office collection ₹35.50 crore. Although the dip in collections was anticipated given the weekday slump, the dip raises eyebrows regarding the longevity of the film in theatres.

But even with the fall, Baaghi 4 came out higher than The Bengal Files, which collected ₹1.10 crore on the same day and stands at ₹7.85 crore till now. This makes Tiger’s movie at least relatively competitive in what otherwise is a crowded release window.

Plot: A Darker Turn for the Franchise

Baaghi 4 brings a more psychological and emotional depth to the otherwise action-oriented series. The movie revolves around Ronny (Tiger Shroff), an angst-ridden soul struggling to deal with survivor’s guilt of having survived a devastating train wreck. As he grapples with hallucinations and survivor’s guilt, Ronny’s reality starts to go haywire, leading him into a sinister conspiracy.

The movie features Harnaaz Sandhu (Miss Universe 2021) on the big screen for the first time as Alisha, Ronny’s love interest. Sanjay Dutt, Sonam Bajwa, and Shreyas Talpade feature prominently in this action-thriller directed by A. Harsha.

Mixed Reviews and OTT Release Details

Though its action-oriented premise, Baaghi 4 has been met with largely negative critical reception. OTTplay branded the film “bold and violent” in presentation but faulted its poor plot and “cringe” acting. Most critics have labeled it skippable, even for die-hard franchise fans.

After its theatrical release, Baaghi 4 is scheduled for an OTT release on Amazon Prime Video. According to the 8-week streaming requirement, the movie is likely to go live on the platform by October 31.

Conclusion

Even if Baaghi 4 isn’t the best in the franchise, its box office top of the charts ahead of rival releases and Tiger Shroff’s popularity may just propel it closer to the ₹50 crore milestone in the days to come.
