Main Vaapas Aaunga Makes Stunning Comeback At The Box Office In Second Weekend

Main Vaapas Aaunga earned Rs. 24.50 crore in 10 days, with a strong second weekend helping the film improve its box office position.

Main Vaapas Aaunga has shown a significant improvement at the box office during its second weekend. The film collected approximately Rs. 5.50 crore nett on its second Sunday, which was around 20 per cent higher than Saturday’s earnings and about 110 per cent higher than its first Sunday collection.

With this performance, the film’s second weekend total reached approximately Rs. 12 crore nett. This is more than double the amount earned during its opening weekend and is almost equal to the film’s entire first week collection. After 10 days in theatres, the movie’s total box office collection stands at around Rs. 24.50 crore nett.

The film has managed to achieve this growth despite facing reduced showcasing in several cinema halls. Reports suggest that occupancy levels during the second Saturday and Sunday were strong, with many centres witnessing high audience turnout. This indicates that the film has been attracting more viewers through positive word of mouth during its theatrical run.

The strong weekend performance has also improved the film’s prospects compared to its position a week ago. At the end of its first week, the box office outlook appeared challenging. However, the growth seen over the second weekend has changed the situation considerably and given the film a better chance of extending its run.

Industry observers have compared the film’s trend to movies that start slowly but gradually gain momentum through audience support. Main Vaapas Aaunga has followed a similar pattern, with collections increasing during its first week and then showing a stronger jump during the second weekend.

Despite the encouraging numbers, the film still faces challenges ahead. New releases arriving in cinemas over the coming weeks could affect its performance. However, the recent growth has provided a more positive outlook than what existed just a few days earlier.

The day wise collections currently stand at Rs. 1.15 crore on Friday, Rs. 1.85 crore on Saturday and Rs. 2.60 crore on Sunday during its opening weekend. The film then collected Rs. 1.20 crore on Monday, Rs. 1.65 crore on Tuesday, Rs. 1.80 crore on Wednesday and Rs. 2.25 crore on Thursday.

In its second week, the film earned Rs. 2.00 crore on Friday, followed by Rs. 4.50 crore on Saturday and Rs. 5.50 crore on Sunday. This has taken the overall total to approximately Rs. 24.50 crore nett after 10 days of release.
