Obsession continued its impressive run at the Indian box office during its second weekend. The film collected Rs. 8.75 crore on Sunday, taking its second weekend total to Rs. 20.75 crore. What makes this performance notable is that the second weekend collection was more than double the film’s opening weekend and nearly matched the total earnings of its entire first week.
The film has shown strong momentum since its release and has continued to attract audiences despite already completing several weeks in theatres. This trend has not only been seen in India but has also been reported in several international markets where the film has been performing steadily over the past three weeks.
According to available figures, Obsession earned Rs. 0.55 crore from previews before collecting Rs. 1.60 crore on its opening Friday. Collections increased to Rs. 3.25 crore on Saturday and Rs. 3.75 crore on Sunday, helping the film finish its first weekend on a solid note.
The film maintained its hold during the weekdays as well. It collected Rs. 2.50 crore on Monday and then earned Rs. 3.40 crore each on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. During its second weekend, the collections increased significantly. The film earned Rs. 4.00 crore on 2nd Friday, followed by Rs. 8.00 crore on 2nd Saturday and Rs. 8.75 crore on 2nd Sunday.
With these numbers, the film’s total gross collection in India has reached Rs. 42.60 crore.

Based on current trends, the theatrical share from India alone is expected to reach around Rs. 30 crore, making the film one of the more profitable theatrical releases in recent times.
