Dacoit: A Love Story, starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, has slowed down at the box office. On its second Wednesday, the film added around Rs. 35 lakh, taking its total collection to Rs. 39.15 crore gross in India after 13 days.
The film is directed by Shaneil Deo and is a mix of romance, action, and drama. Based on its current trend, it is expected to finish its second week with around Rs. 39.50 crore. In its third weekend, the film may add another Rs. 1 crore to Rs. 2 crore, which could take its total to about Rs. 41 crore before it begins to slow down further.
Looking at its overall performance, the film is likely to end its theatrical run with around Rs. 43 crore gross in India. For a film made on a larger budget, this number is considered lower than expected. As a result, the film is being seen as a disappointing outcome at the box office.
The film opened with relatively strong numbers in its first few days but could not maintain that momentum. Its collections dropped steadily after the opening weekend, and it has not shown much growth since then. This pattern has affected its overall performance.
The day wise box office collections show how the film performed over time. On Day 1, it collected Rs. 8.00 crore, followed by Rs. 8.50 crore on Day 2 and Rs. 7.75 crore on Day 3. After that, the numbers began to fall. Day 4 brought Rs. 3.00 crore, Day 5 Rs. 3.25 crore, Day 6 Rs. 2.00 crore, and Day 7 Rs. 1.50 crore. In the second week, the collections remained low, with Day 8 at Rs. 0.90 crore, Day 9 at Rs. 1.50 crore, Day 10 at Rs. 1.60 crore, Day 11 and Day 12 at Rs. 0.40 crore each, and Day 13 at Rs. 0.35 crore.
Apart from the lead actors, the film also features Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni, Zayn Marie Khan, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla.
Overall, Dacoit A Love Story has seen a decline in collections after its initial days and is expected to end its run with modest numbers.
